‘[Books published this day]’. part v. 2s. 6d.
Notes: [also: parts i-iv may be had, price 2s. 6d. each, or in 2 vols, pink extra boards, price 5s. 6d. each.] ‘This is a collection of very pleasing tales, in some respects resembling the Percy Anecdotes. A Number of this Work is intended to be published every month, and two numbers will form a volume. The book is beautifully printed on fine wove paper, and is a proof of the superior excellence of the English in the art of typography. It is unnecessary to extend our remarks, and we will, therefore, only assure our readers, that if they find as much amusement in the book as we have done, they will not regret the time they have given to the perusal of the ‘Stanley Tales’’–Coventry Journal. [also: ‘part vi will be ready on the 30th of October, embellished with an Engraving from a Drawing by R. T. Stothard’]
