British Fiction, 1800–1829: A Database of Production, Circulation & Reception
Updates 1 to 4

Bibliographical Updates 1–4

The following updates were originally published annually between May 2001 and August 2004 in Cardiff Corvey: Reading the Romantic Text <>, and provide a record of discoveries made by the project team and outside correspondents since the publication of The English Novel, 1800–1829: A Bibliographical Survey of Prose Fiction Published in the British Isles, 2 vols (OUP, 2000). The accumulated revisions described here have been absorbed into the present database, the records of which in turn sometimes make cross-references to individual updates (e.g. for supportive detail). At least for the present, this Update facility does not record any findings that might be made subsequent to the launch of the database in October 2004. (N.B. The Updates have been standardised to follow the stylesheet of the British Fiction, 1800–1829 website.)
