Notes: Frontispiece, depicting the authoress as 'keeper of the circulating library at Ashborne in the County of Derby'. 'Advertisement' (unn.) at the end vol. 1 offers an apology for 'the repeated delays during the process of the foregoing pages', and promises that the remaining vols will be 'brought forward as expeditiously as possible'. List of 'Names of Subscribers' (4 pp. unn.) at the beginning of vol. 3. Vol. 3 t.p. is dated 1802. Novel proper ends on p. 462, followed by 'Errata' (p. 463) and a final 'Advertisement' (p. 464) stating that the length of the last vol., and expense of paper, has necessitated raising the price: 'First Subscriptions, 10s. 6d.—with additions, 13s. 6d.' Collates in sixes.
